Dropped curbs - Station Road

Published: 26 June 2019

Ann Evans, a Hirwaun resident brought her concerns about the lack of dropped curbs in Station Road to Cllr Richard Jones. When asked about the impending dropped curbs Mrs Evans said "my daughter has recently become a double leg amputee, since then, she hasn't been able to go anywhere because she can't get off the pavements. I am delighted that because of these new dropped curbs my daughter will be able to access the village."

Cllr Richard Jones said "I am really pleased to have been able to work with Rhondda Cynon Taff Highways Department to secure such a generous amount of money to install dropped curbs in Station Road. These dropped curbs will be a lifeline for the residents of this part of Hirwaun who have, for too long, not been able to access the amenities in the village."
