VE DAY 75 Tea Dance

To mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the war in Europe we are organising a 1940's tea dance as a free event for the community.

Held at Hirwaun Village Hall between 2pm and 5pm  on Saturday 9th May 2020, the Skyliners Big Band will be playing songs from the 1940's, while dance instructor Simon will be there to start everyone off. Tea and cake will be provided. 1940's dress optional. We will also be taking part in The Nation's Toast to the Heroes of WWII at 3pm paying tribute to the millions at home and abroad that gave so much for our freedom.

A special thanks to Dance with Simon for donating his time for the event. Simon teaches adults only at all levels including Ballroom, Latin & Sequence. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday at Aberfan Social Club and private lessons are held by appointment at: The Studio, 1 Cardiff Road, Merthyr Vale, CF48 4RX.
