Penderyn War Memorial
Published: 10 September 2025
The dedication of the War Memorial in Penderyn took place this morning with a service led by Revd Tim Williams. Following a reading from Lt Col. Heather Rendell, the
names of the fallen from WW1 and WW2 were read out. This was followed by the laying of wreaths by Major Nick Gould, Cllr Adam Rogers on behalf of the Community Council and Deborah Smart on behalf of Penderyn Historical Society. The service concluded with the exhortation being read by Major Nick Gould, followed by those present singing Abide with Me and the blessing by Revd Williams. Guests were invited for refreshments at the Red Lion Inn.
We would like to convey a thank you to Revd Tim, Debbie and Celia for their hard work with the War Memorial and it's dedication.
